The Erica Synths Multimode VCF is a 24db multimode filter inspired by the Curtis CEM3320 Chip. The VCF features CV control over both cutoff and resonance controls with an attenuator for resonance CV and attenuverter for cutoff CV. The VCF circuit also features gain-compensation to prevent the output volume from dropping when filter resonance is increased. All filter outputs (LP, BP, HP) are available simultaneously.
The core of this filter design is based on the new highly stable and custom made chip – The ‘AS3320’ (produced in Riga, Latvia). This chip is a clone of the classic CEM3320 – as used in many analogue synthesizers, such as the Oberheim OB-X Series, Prophet Series and PPG Wave 2.
- Simultaneous LP, BP and HP outputs
- CV control over cutoff and resonance
- Cutoff CV Attenuverter
- Volume drop compensation, as resonance is increased
- High temperature stability
- Skiff-friendly design
