With a contact microphone, any surface or object becomes a canvas for sonic exploration. Unlike traditional recording methods that capture sound waves traveling through air, contact microphones pick up vibrations directly from materials – allowing you to “listen” to objects, plants, or even soil from the inside out. This contact microphone is sealed in special housing which is electrically shielded. Means: no hum is introduced, only your crystal clear signal. This cable was designed for LeafAudio’s Field Amp, but it can be used with any mixer, interface or recorder. Usable as contact mic or pressure sensor for modular synths. This contact mic is not waterproof and therefore not recommended for hydrophonic use.
