We approve this lead free solder at Thonk and use it for our own builds. We find it works just as well as the majority of solders containing lead and it meets the EU RoHS standard which limits the amount of hazardous chemicals in electronics.

High purity lead-free, tin / copper solder wire available in 19SWG 1.0mm/12g Tube, and 22SWG 0.7mm/100g Reel. (Note: For SMD soldering we recommend the 0.7mm thickness).

R-TECH high purity lead-free, tin / copper solder is a cost-effective and versatile alternative to conventional lead solder and is suitable for all products sold at Thonk.

This solder is RoHS compliant –  RoHS certificate. For SMD soldering we recommend the 22SWG 0.7mm solder.
