Description
μSt is a minimal panning mixer based on Nearness, an open-source design by Jesper Särnesjö.
Unlike most mixing modules, μST is totally fixed in its levels. Seven inputs are internally attenuated according to their physical proximity to the two outputs, with the middle input equally present at both. This allows you to patch a variety of sources into uST and quickly define their stereo width based on the channels used. Alternatively, use only one output for a fixed-level mono mixer.
Each output has a PAD switch, which attenuate the respective output by -6dB in case you use uSt as the output module of your rack or to avoid clipping if you’re mixing hot input signals within your system.
All inputs and outputs are DC-coupled: so μSt can equally handle both audio and CV.
