Description

The Field Amp is a compact, battery-powered amplifier designed to deliver clean, high-gain amplification for contact microphones. Based on the trusted circuitry of the Microphonic Soundbox, it offers the same low-noise performance in a standalone format. It is ideal for mobile recording setups or sensor-based installations requiring clean, high-impedance amplification.

The Field Amp is designed to produce no audible noise or spectral artifacts, including ultrasonic components that may surface during post-processing. This makes it ideal for high sample-rate recording and extreme pitch manipulation, delivering clean, pristine audio from contact microphones.

The small unit is fully portable, light, and offers many mounting possibilities. A professional case is included, which also can carry your contact mics, batteries and cables.

The Field Amp also acts as an impedance converter, delivering a strong output signal. With short cable runs between the microphones and the input, signal quality remains uncompromised. Thanks to its powerful output stage, you can use several meters of cable on the output without concern.
