Polaxis have been deep in the world of speech synthesis for over 10 years, now they are finally ready to unveil the next generation of their very first speech synthesizer – introducing Talko 2!
Talko 2 is presented in two formats – here we have an 18HP Eurorack module, and there is also a desktop version. Both are functionally identical speech synthesisers which speak numbers, alphabets, phonemes, and classic phrase banks, with real-time pitch, speed, and effect manipulation using the onboard controls or via CV inputs.
Trigger sounds using the “Speak” button or via the CV gate input. Apply real-time effects such as filter, ring mod, reverb or growl, glitch out the playback using the “Error” button – designed to mimic a circuit-bent Speak & Spell!
Talko 2 is designed for experimental voices and robotic textures, this talking machine is both a classic speech engine and a unique sound-design tool!
