Description
Filler is a Eurorack module designed for injecting variations into your drum patterns. The module listens to your drum triggers, learns the rhythm, and then on command plays fills, variations, and transformations – all synchronised to your clock signal.
Filler can process six separate trigger channels (bass drum, snare, closed hi-hat, open hi-hat, perc 1, perc 2) plus a seventh output channel (cymbal/crash) that fires automatically when a fill ends.
How Filler works: Filler has two independent layers. The fill layer (F page) replaces the drum pattern temporarily when you press the Fill button – it plays one bar, then returns to normal. The drummer layer (D page) is always active and continuously transforms the pattern passing through. Both layers can run at the same time.
Quick Start
- Patch a clock signal (1 pulse per 16th note) into the Clock jack.
- Patch your drum triggers into the six trigger inputs (BD, SN, CH, OH, P1, P2).
- Connect the seven trigger outputs to your drum sound sources.
- Press Reset (or send a reset pulse) on beat one to establish sync.
- Wait 2-3 bars for Filler to learn the incoming pattern.
- Press the Fill button. A fill plays on the next bar boundary.
- Turn the Drummer knob to introduce automatic variations to the playing rhythm
