Description
Arplus is a new instrument from Zlosynth which cleverly combines a quantizer, arpeggiator, and Karplus-Strong synthesizer in one 20HP Eurorack module.
While you’d typically use all the functions of Arplus together, each separate part can also be used independently. The quantizer offers several families of scales, including microtonal, with scale customization available. The arpeggiator features multiple shapes and accepts CV control. The synthesizer can pluck or bow 6 strings, accept external audio as a burst input, and its filter can self-resonate.
Select from a variety of scales, including Western diatonic scales, microtonal Arabic maqam, Indian melakarta, Japanese pentatonics, or quarter, semi, and whole tone scales. Use the arpeggiator to create note patterns based on a selected chord and scale. Control other modules using the 1V/oct output, or take advantage of the built-in 8 channels of string synthesis to produce anything from subtle plucks and staccatos to ensemble-like pads and resonating soundscapes.
